Dao
Yin Yoga, Tai Chi and Chi Kung
For 3,000 years these exercises have been used to achieve fitness and
freedom from illness, release stress and slow the aging process. Many
people in China practice daily, and more and more people outside of
China are discovering the benefits of these practices. The focus on
careful regulation of the breath, deep states of relaxation, and
specific bodily movement and process promotes physical, emotional and
mental wellness. You can help yourself attain a balance of energy,
which increases the body vitality (which we call Chi) and opens the
body's energy pathways so that Chi can flow unimpeded. This is the
healing and power of dao yin yoga, tai chi and chi kung.
Regular practice can lead to the integration of the mind, body, and
heart. By promoting integration of the mind, body, and heart, you
resonate with the spirit. You can tap into a seemingly effortless flow
of energy and achieve balance and harmony both within and with the
world. Ultimately, with this combination of focus of attention, gentle
movement and physical postures of balance, a resonant chord is struck
with the spirit. This integration of the internal and the external
creates a more sensitive consciousness, a certain enlightened awareness
and an overall state of well-being.
